The Bantam's Roost self catering barn is built of Serpentine and Cornish Granite stone and was the original cow byre of the farm

Three large Velux windows and a pair of double french doors that open on to the garden flood the room with light and a galleried bedroom deck is built in the roof space of the barn

The Bantam's Roost is furnished with a hint of China -curtains and bed dressings in a rich cotton with Chinese style pattern, hand painted wall hangings,large hand made paper umbrellas suspended in the ceiling and photos of ancient bridges and Chinese landscapes

The galleried bedroom has a king sized bed and in the lounge area is a three seater and a two seater leather sofa bed which is pulled out with a simple spring action if The Roost is booked for 3 people.                                                        There is a large shower room come dressing room

The kitchen has everything you need for a week or two's holiday and can be screened of with curtains when not in use.

A washing machine is available for use in our laundry room adjacent.

If our self catering barn is already booked then The Hen House style of B & B is well worth consideration and need not mean a more expensive or more restricted holiday than catering for yourselves.                                                                               The hearty local breakfast platters we serve (specialist diets catered for too) means you will not need to cook or buy breakfast or lunch-most folks leaving our breakfast table don't think about food again until late afternoon                                          Our relaxed informal style of "retreat" means there is no rush to leave your B & B room straight after breakfast as happens with most B & B's.In our 2 acres of land you are free to relax whatever the time of day whether staying for B & B or self catering

We offer part week short breaks throughout the winter season priced as follows:

5 night stays @ 85% of the weekly rate                                                                  4 night stays @ 75% of the weekly rate                                                                  3 night stays @ 65% of the weekly rate                                                                                   2 night stays @ £65 per night

All bed linen,towels and cleaning products are included with the weekly rental as is the heating by two radiators and one giant towel rail in the dressing room/bathroom.
